Delivery
Order before 1pm, Monday to Saturday, and it goes out the same day.
What it costs
- Royal Mail 2nd Class: £1.20 , free on orders over £20.00
- Royal Mail 1st Class: £2.40 , free on orders over £20.00
Flat rate, however many cards you buy. Two cards or twenty, the postage does not move, so if you are going to pay it, it is worth filling the envelope.
Spend over £20.00 and postage is free, first class included. No code, nothing to claim: the basket works it out and the price drops.
When it goes
Order before 1pm, Monday to Saturday, and it goes out the same day. Anything after 1pm, or on a Sunday, goes on the next posting day. On a bank holiday I am off and Royal Mail mostly is too, so an order placed on one goes out the next working day.
Working days are Monday to Friday and never include bank holidays. I pack and post on Saturdays, which is why the line at the top of this page says Monday to Saturday, but Royal Mail counts its delivery times in working days and so does every other date here.
After that it is Royal Mail's. Second class is usually two to three working days and first class usually the next, though neither is guaranteed and December is December. If it has been 10 working days since your order went out and nothing has arrived, email [email protected] with your order number and I will sort it.
Where I post to
The UK, for now. Everywhere else is coming, and it is held up by working out honest prices rather than by anything else: I would rather say nothing than quote a number I have guessed at.
How it arrives
- A board-backed envelope, or a box if you have bought a lot
- A clear sleeve around the cards, which is recyclable
- Kraft paper tape, which is recyclable too
- Nothing on the outside that says what is inside
That last one is deliberate. If you are ordering a card for somebody you live with, the packet gives nothing away.
