Colour plays a hugely important part in design that goes far beyond making something look nice.
When we see colour there is a psychological response. Different colours evoke different emotional responses.
When creating a brand identity, colour theory is one of the tools used to help portray the personality of the business.
Here are the main colours and a few examples of the emotional responses they are used for:
Blue – professional, business, trust, security, cleanliness, order, reliable
Greens – nature, eco-friendly, harmony, kindness
Yellow – happy emotions, enjoyment, positivity, opportunity
Red – fun, energy, love, passion, power, hunger, rebellious
Orange – positivity, happiness, optimism, warmth, creativity
Purple – sophistication, glamour, femininity, spirituality
Pink – playful, love, fun, compassion
Brown – stability, natural, reliable, honesty
Black – power, strength, elegance, authority
Gray – modesty, authority, neutral
White – purity, simplicity, perfection, innocence
What are your brand colours and what emotions are they intended to evoke? Let us know in the comments, this could be fun!

I created this design to convey a simple message; If you and your business are having a tough time right now, you're not alone.
Keep fighting, keep doing your thing, when the good times come back around your business will be stronger than ever!
